European Patent Convention (EPC 1973)

A revised version of the European Patent Convention entered into force on 13 December 2007. The provisions of the revised Convention apply unless the transitional provisions provide for the applicability of the EPC 1973.

Technical preparations for publication

(1)74 The President of the European Patent Office shall determine when the technical preparations for publication of the European patent application are to be deemed to have been completed.


(2) The European patent application shall not be published if it has been finally refused or withdrawn or deemed to be withdrawn before the termination of the technical preparations for publication.
